Shula’s on the Beach / O’ Hara’s Hollywood

PROJECT OVERVIEW:

Don Shula was famous for his Steak Houses and as a result spawned a new concept called Shula’s Two. In conjunction with the Sheraton Yankee Trader Hotel, which was a Fort Lauderdale Landmark he created a new concept called Shula’s on the Beach. This restaurant and outdoor terrace was created out of a renovation of the existing dining room at the Yankee Trader.

FEATURES:

The project included working in the existing hotel while occupancy continued. Materials were rich woods, granite and a high tech structure in order to enclose the patio on the ocean. Eisenglass drops were used for inclement and summer weather.
Lighting was a key element throughout.
